With your donation we can continue to put the child first and always...
Make a difference and give hope to Syrian children and their families by setting up a regular donation today.
Why set up a regular donation?
Setting up a regular donation is the most efficient way to donate, and helps us to plan ahead for key projects and expenditure. Of course, we understand some people prefer to make a one-off donation for which we are also very grateful. Thank you.
We are currently working for Syrian refugees in neighbouring countries
More than 9 million people within Syria are in dire need of help as the conflict enters its fourth year. A further 3 million Syrians have fled to neighbouring countries in search of safety. We remain gravely concerned about civilians and refugees as the crisis escalates.
Over 3 million Syrians have registered as refugees across the region. There are estimates that the actual number of refugees has almost reached 4 million - meaning 1 in 5 Syrians has left the country.
Many were forced to flee their homes with little or nothing at all. Significant numbers of refugees are living in crowded camps but 76% are in urban or rural areas where, with extremely limited resources, they face rising rent and living costs with no way of supporting their families.
This places severe stress on the governments and people of the countries they flee to. In Lebanon, the number of registered refugees has reached one million and amounts to a quarter of the population. In Jordan, there are over 600,000 Syrian refugees - making them one-tenth of the population of the country.
Humanitarian organisations are also under pressure to provide food, shelter, health care, education and safety.
We are working with governments, UN agency staffs, international and local organisations to help refugees.
